OPX+ is Quantum Machines’ processor-based quantum controller, combining pulse generation, readout, and real-time classical computation on a single chip.
At its core is a multi-core Pulse Processing Unit that generates and manipulates pulses on the fly instead of playing them from memory, cutting upload time and memory usage to near zero. This lets OPX+ run advanced sequences, like 5,000-depth randomized benchmarking, in minutes rather than hours, and reduce conditional feedback latency to 224 ns with no central controller bottleneck. Multiple units connect into a single synchronized system, scaling channel count without adding a second programming layer.
Overview
OPX+ is Quantum Machines’ processor-based quantum controller, combining pulse generation, readout, and real-time classical computation on a single Pulse Processing Unit. It eliminates the upload and compilation delays of memory-based controllers, running complex quantum sequences directly from live, on-the-fly calculation, with no separate compile step required at all..
