Octave
- Conversion Range 2–18 GHz
- Baseband Input DC–400 MHz
- RF Outputs 5 channels
- RF Inputs 2 combined
- Calibration Automatic, sub-second
- Scaling Stackable units
Octave is Quantum Machines’ auto-calibrated up and down conversion instrument, extending OPX+ baseband signals into the microwave range most qubit experiments need.
Octave carries built-in IQ mixers and local oscillators, so it calibrates itself in a fraction of a second instead of requiring a team to tune mixers by hand. It takes OPX+’s baseband output (DC to 400 MHz) and converts it to microwave signals between 2 and 18 GHz, then converts readout signals back the other way. Multiple Octave units stack alongside OPX+ controllers as a system’s channel count grows, so scaling never demands a separate RF redesign.
Overview
Octave is Quantum Machines’ auto-calibrated up and down conversion instrument, extending OPX+ baseband signals into the microwave range needed for most qubit experiments. Its built-in mixers and local oscillators calibrate automatically, removing the manual RF tuning work that microwave quantum control has traditionally required from every lab.
